Our FAVORITE Sourdough Waffles

Ingredients

cup
active sourdough starter
2
large eggs
1/4
cup
buttermilk or wholemilk
2
Tbsp
honey or maple syrup
2
Tbsp
melted butter
1.5
tsp
baking powder
1
tsp
vanilla
1
tsp
salt
Instructions
Step 1: Mix all ingredients together until well combined
Step 2: Preheat waffle iron. Lightly coat the waffle iron with butter or oil
Step 3: Pour waffle batter on the preheated and sprayed iron. Close lid and cook for 3-5 min or until waffles are golden brown and crisp
Step 4: Carefully remove the cooked waffles from the iron and place them on a cooling rack.
Step 5: Serve waffles with your favorite toppings, fresh fruit, whipped cream, maple syrup
