The most satisfying dishes are often the ones that are the most simple and straightforward, but executed to perfection. This meatloaf is perfect because it uses our Folsom Farm ancestral ground beef blend which includes beef liver and heart giving it all the extra nutritional value without sacrificing the taste!
4lbsground beef (we use our Folsom Farm ancestral blend)
2cupbreadcrumbs
1onion(chopped finely)
6clovesgarlic(minced)
4eggs
1/2cupketchup
1/2cupmilk
1/2 cupcoconut aminos (you can use soy sauce)
2tspsalt
1tspthyme
1tsporegano
1tsppaprika
1tspblack pepper
Glaze
1cup ketchup
4Tbspbrown sugar
2Tbspmustrard
Instructions
Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350 and lightly grease a 9x13 pan
Step 2: In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, eggs, ketchup, milk, coconut aminos and all spices. Mix well until incorporated.
Step 3: Transfer the meat mixture into the greased pan and press it down to form an even layer
Step 4: In a small bowl, whisk together the glaze ingredients then pour the glaze over top the meatloaf, spreading it evenly.
Step 5: Bake the meatloaf in the preheated oven for 1 hour or until the internal temp reaches 160 F.
Step 6: Remove meatloaf from oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing and servings.
