The ‘Belly Only’ pregnancy. Can we chat for a sec about how unrealistic it is to expect that? It makes me sad when women get discouraged about the changes our bodies go through during something as miraculous as creating a little human.
The Belly Only Pregnancy is a Myth.
My legs get pregnant. My arms. My love handles. My back. My face. My emotions? Everythingggg is pregnant.
My whole body has worked hard for 40 weeks and 3 days to help grow this precious baby guy… not just my belly… and what a blessing it’s been!
I’ve gained 38 lbs this Pregnancy.
Even with staying active throughout the entire thing, eating mostly well and still enjoying my pregnancy cravings and treats, I’ve gained about 38 pounds and feel healthy from the INSIDE out. Mind, body and soul.
And you know what? I don’t waste time or energy and emotions on stressing or wondering how fast I can lose that weight. I’ll just continue this lifestyle and the same habits I had before and during my pregnancy and it’ll come off when my body is ready to release it.
Let’s Change the Ideal for Post Partum Body Image.
One of my hopes is that women can release the stress and overwhelm and pressure we put on ourselves around our weight and body image.
Health doesn’t need to feel…..Stressful. Overwhelming. Pressure. Hard. Defeating.
Health can be simple. It can be empowering. Fulfilling. Energizing. Joyful and fun.
And if we can create a life where health feels THAT way, I promise you won’t jump ship so quickly and revert back to the habits that made you feel so crummy in the first place.
If you need help or guidance, I would love to chat more with you! That’s what I’m most passionate about is sharing the things that have been life changing for me over the years!
I’m always just a message away if you want to get started on your own empowering journey and need a simple game plan and someone who can be there every step of the way. ? You can message me on Instagram or email me…. make sure to mention this blog post!
Now repeat after me……
I am beautiful. I am capable. I am worthy. I am strong. And I am committed to becoming the best version of me every single day.??
