On this week’s episode, I have guest James Stanley, an architect who found his spark after years of little direction. Now James inspires others to dig deep to find their own joy, peace, and calm. James and I chat about internal redirection and the impact it can have on ourselves and people around us.
Show Notes:
06:06 Find Your Joy
Life is busy and there are always things that are going to come up. We are fooling ourselves if we think life is going to run perfectly and smoothly all of the time. When things come up that cause anger, stress, or anxiety, it’s important to go deep within to look for peace and joy.
11:36 Dig Deep Within
Everyone seeks happiness, just through different channels. When things are going off the rails, look back to that feeling you’ve experienced at some point of true happiness and hold onto that. Train yourself to find that joy.
14:24 Set Yourself Up
It’s important to start your day with a moment of calm and positive intention. Live in the now. Don’t start your day with fear, anxiety, or overwhelm. Set yourself up with a feeling you want to carry into the rest of the day. Learn to direct your thought process.
20:06 Calm In Business
Finding joy, peace, and calm should translate to all parts of life, including at work or in growing a business. Pressure is always going to be there, but if you approach it positively, it’s going to translate to a positive outcome. You will also reflect your joy, peace, and calm onto others which will help create a better world overall.
27:33 Take Control
Calm your mind, breathe it out, and be conscious of your thoughts. Doing these things will help bring joy inward. You are in control and have more tools than you think we do.
